Court-Approved | California Penal Code 273a & 273d | Online Format

Our Parenting Program is a comprehensive, court-approved course designed to educate and empower individuals to build safer, more nurturing family environments. The program supports participants in breaking the cycle of family violence, improving emotional regulation, and developing parenting strategies rooted in empathy and accountability.

Program Overview

This course is delivered through weekly, 2-hour live group video sessions using a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera. During these sessions, participants and facilitators engage in real-time discussion, reflection, and skill-building around parenting challenges and responsibilities.

In addition to the group session, participants complete weekly online coursework, alternating between:

  • Guided written reflections to deepen self-awareness, and

  • Practical application assignments to put new parenting strategies into real-life practice.

Course Content

In accordance with California Penal Code Sections 273a (Child Endangerment) and 273d (Child Abuse), the program covers key areas essential to positive parenting and child development, including:

  • Recognizing and interrupting the cycle of family violence

  • Anger management and emotional regulation within the parenting role

  • Understanding and meeting the developmental and emotional needs of children

  • Replacing harmful patterns with nurturing, respectful, and age-appropriate approaches
